Will taking Metformin for my PCOS help with my thinning hair, spots, and extra body hair?

My Doctor has said it should help regulate my cycle, but I forget to ask about my other symtoms. Also, is it safe to take Metformin long term?Will taking Metformin for my PCOS help with my thinning hair, spots, and extra body hair?
Im taking it for the same, change hormones levels, even after stopping it my period was regular, and helps with the hair, i really should get back on itWill taking Metformin for my PCOS help with my thinning hair, spots, and extra body hair?
YES, it will help. The only long term side effect I could find was reducing B-12 absorption, so take a good multi vitamin. PCOS can be controlled through the same diet and medication as people who have diabetes.
