Does anyone know any way to regrow thinning hair?

I asked this a few days ago but I didn't get many responses (partly because i asked it in the geography section, I'm sure). A friend of mine mentioned some kind of laser treatment that he'd read about with a 90% success rate, does anyone know about this or any other method which gets real results?Does anyone know any way to regrow thinning hair?

Here is a remedy that a friend of mine discovered on her own: soak ginger root in water for a few hours, and then soak your hair in it and don't rinse it out for a few hours. do this every day, and you should see results soon, over time!
