Thinning hair?

I have thick shoulder length hair. I'm planning to grow it longer and i want it ALOT thinner so i can style it in different ways.

What is the best and most affective way of thinning hair professionally?Thinning hair?
Have a hair dresser thin it with thinning shearsThinning hair?
Your best bet is to go to a stylist you trust and bring a picture/s. TALK to them before they start. So often they are tipped so badly that they must make their client like cattle. STOP him'her. Tip extra if you like the outcome.
the salon.

just ask them to thin it.

i have thick massive hair and i need to thin it every few weeks.

otherwise, it gets hot and fuzzy and annoying.

and i swim. so it tangles up.

thin hair is definitely easier to care for.
go to your hairdresser cause they can help you thin your hair out
i have the same kind of hair as you, i want to get my haired thinned at the salon and i have seen them do it it'd cool they twist small strands of hair and cut it on random spots it really works.
Go to a few salons and talk with some stylists. Find out what each one thinks, then she what the best way is to deal with it. Any of them could tell you something different, so if thats what happens, just bring a pic of a style you like and they should hook you up.
Go to a stylist, they'll know what to do.
Get it thined by a Pro. Just say you want it thined its really simple, my fried does it all the time
Get layers cut into it.
Good healthy hair starts with good internal health. Have you ever noticed people that look really healthy have nice shiny full heads of hair? If I were you I would go into your local guru in wholistic medicine and see what natural supplement the can offer for robust hair growth. I鈥檝e had success with a product called Provillus also.
Cut it
At the salon, they have 2 ways of cutting it. Either using a pair of scissors, or they use this thing ( i think it's like a razor). This thin metal piece is a great way of thinning hair. Ask your hair stylist about this before you cut your hair.
honeslty i have thick hair too but my cousin got her hair thinned out. Looked REALLY bad when roots grew out and took FOREVER to grow back and it looks weird (grow back to what is was before) and very damaging. I suggest layers like me =P
