At what point should I go see a dermatologist about thinning hair?

I'm 19 and ever since I was 16 I've noticed have had a slightly larger crown than most people my age. My dad went bald at a young age, and I don't want it happening to me. I haven't noticed any serious thinning yet, but my crown area seems to be balding slightly(or I could just be paranoid based on my dad). At what point should I go see a dermatologist and diagnose the problem? At what point should I go see a dermatologist about thinning hair?
you shouldn't. dermatologist is a skin doctorAt what point should I go see a dermatologist about thinning hair?
When you notice really thin areas. There is probably nothing that can be done about it, it's probably just genetics. But I always tell people who start to go bald young, that you should get checked out by a doctor. Sometimes baldness can be a sign that you have a health issue, such as a thyroid problem or diabetes, etc. Right now you don't need to worry since you're not balding yet.
hair loss and balding happen due to many reasons.. stress, disease , malnutrition etc may be the cause of it ..

but the most common know factor Is because of Presence of DTH.

It is known to directly effect the hair as it binds it self to hair follicle and reduces the blood suppy to it and hence weakening the hair and gradually hair loss..

Dth Related balding is always in m pattern in males ..

It really isn't a problem there isn't much a dermatologist could do about it . it is completely hereditary. whenever your dad started losing hair is probably when you will. there are things like hair transplants. but its natural
